JOYOUS CELEBRATION is an uplifting concert will be filled with holiday spirit and the majestic sounds of Christmas as the Symphony performs holiday favorites including “Joy to the World,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “A Carol Symphony,” “Christmas Overture,” and Prokofiev’s “Troika” from the “Lieutenant Kiji Suite.” Tenor Jonathan Hawkins joins us with his all-male vocal quartet VOCI to perform selections from Il Divo such as “Rejoice!” and their renditions of treasured holiday classics.

Back by popular demand, Sharon Owens joins Temecula Valley Symphony for another breathtaking salute to Barbra Streisand! She has been featured on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, and in People Magazine. Sharon also starred in a ABC’s reality show, “The Next Best Thing” and is the Winner of the Fox TV show “Performing As…” Ms. Owens travels the country singing with various orchestras and performing as Barbra. The Symphony will back her show with a 60 piece orchestra and treat the audience to John Williams’ Signature arrangement of “Hooray for Hollywood,” songs from “42nd Street,” and a program full of Streisand’s biggest hit songs!

This exciting concert features “Sunrise,” the bold opening to Also sprach Zarathustra, the opening theme for 2001 Space Odyssey! Classical music buffs will enjoy Mahler’s “Adagietto,” a rich and beautiful slow movement featuring the strings and harp. If you’ve never heard “Pictures at an Exhibition” you are in for a real treat! Mussorgsky’s famous work represents the themes of various paintings and evokes imagery that stimulate the imagination. Various sections of the orchestra are featured as the themes unfold. Plus, the Winners of the 2020 Young Artist Competition will perform a movement of their winning concerto with the Symphony.

This amazing concert features the Symphony & Chorus on Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and the “Polovetsian Dances” by Borodin. Enjoy couragous themes like “Liberty Fanfare” by John Williams, “Dartmoor 1912” from the movie “War Horse” and the whimsical music from “Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines.” Soar with the “Peter Pan Flying Theme” and feel the excitement of the film music from “Ghost Writer” by Alexandre Desplat.
