CANCELLED! – Due to the Governor’s request to cancel all large events with over 250 people we have decided to err on the side of caution and cancel this concert. We plan to combine elements of this program with our Season Finale slated for May 30, 2020. The three winners of our 2020 Young Artist Competition will be featured on the May concert along with the Symphony Chorus who will perform the 1812 Overture and Polovetsian Dances with the Symphony on the program.
STATEMENT REGARDING TICKETS PURCHASED: The Symphony is most likely going to take a big hit financially with the closurer of this concert and our concert that was scheduled for the City of Temecula on March 15th. We are asking our patrons to please consider allowing us to apply a credit to your account for future concerts, or to give your April ticket/s to friends and we will apply them for the May concert. Many patrons are opting to donate the cost of their ticket to the Symphony. Please call 951-587-1536 with any questions.

PREVIOUS CONCERT DESCRIPTION: This exciting concert features “Sunrise,” the bold opening to Also sprach Zarathustra, the opening theme for 2001 Space Odyssey! Classical music buffs will enjoy Mahler’s “Adagietto,” a rich and beautiful slow movement featuring the strings and harp. If you’ve never heard “Pictures at an Exhibition” you are in for a real treat! Mussorgsky’s famous work represents the themes of various paintings and evokes imagery that stimulate the imagination. Various sections of the orchestra are featured as the themes unfold. Plus, the Winners of the 2020 Young Artist Competition will perform a movement of their winning concerto with the Symphony.
